What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work properly, to remember your preferences, and to give website owners information about how their sites are being used.

Cookies themselves do not contain viruses or harmful code. They are simply data files stored on your browser or device.

How we use cookies

The Gemilang Labs website uses a small number of cookies. We have grouped them into four categories:

Third-party cookies

Where analytics or marketing tools are active, third-party services such as Google Analytics may place their own cookies on your device. These are governed by the relevant provider's privacy policy. We ensure any such providers have appropriate data processing terms in place.

Cookie duration

Session cookies — deleted automatically when you close your browser. Used for essential site functionality.

Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period. Our preference cookie stores your consent choice for up to 12 months. Analytics cookies typically expire after 13 months. Marketing cookies may persist for up to 90 days depending on the provider.
